Is Jefferson bus lines safe to travel by?

I know not to take Greyhound, I know about the 100 mile border patrol. I was wondering if Jefferson bus lines is a safe way to travel and not worry or get in any kind of trouble with immigration. Hope you guys can help me and any feed back would be greatly appreciated .

Actually I heard that ICE is pulling away from doing immigration checks on busses these days.

Or was that TSA?
