Obama has done all that as well. Democrats or Republicans, same shit....

well, if ur satisfied with Obama's work then he has no reason to pass CIR or DA, for the first 2-3 yrs under his admin, over 1million deported and counting(I personally know a family's father deported and his mother is working to support the kids, who knows what's next for them), when election is coming he issues a small memo requesting to stop it....guess what, he's counting on your support and looks like he got it bro even u can't vote.lol...b/c ICE is still deporting dreamers, maybe few cases are let go but majority are still going. This coming year under obama admin, deportation records are again gonna get broken, but no worries i guess he'll issue the same memo to win you over just in time to get his party elected. and yes, it's the time obama's caught up in, it's not him personally. I still think he can do better than halting deportations.

Yes I do agree, Obama is still somewhat better than republicans b/c republicans will pass anti-immigration while Obama won't do anything b/c he knows he doesn't have to, as long as republicans are Anti, all he has to do is just show support, he knows that. why give you the whole lollypop when he can just have u take a lick and save it for the next term.
Do something and speak up, don't just sit and say Obama is doing really good b/c if u don't u'll be illegal even 50yrs from now.

Republicans or Democrats same crap.

I wouldn't be surprise if he gets re-elected and still does nothing! Regardless, I rather see Obama win re-election than see any of the Republicans candidates hold office. The whole point of this thread is for people to stop counting on a miracle legislation to save them. Every one should be looking at all their options.

Like it or not, Obama is our best friend. This isn't a monarchy, so he can't wave a magic wand and make us all legal. He can't even pardon us if he wanted to because we're not criminals!(Hello irony).
Sure, nothing has been done to legalize us, but the environment is so poisonous now that it's out of his hands and despite that, work place raids and other horrible terrorizing actions have been slowed down or halted.

An example of what happened in the past, Bill Clinton, one of my favorite presidents, passed the law in the mid 90's that added the 10 year punishment for staying here. Under Bush, you had the registration of middle eastern men, TSA, and the REAL-ID act that led to forcing states to check for immigration status which led to those of us who had driver's licenses to lose them (or flock to the two havens with some human decency that still allow it).

So yeah, don't for a second think any Republican including Newt is going to be on our side.

Let's face reality people! Dream Act is nothing more than a 10 year old dream that it's turning into a nightmare for many of us for waiting on it. I've never been negative at all towards passage of dream act but it ain't happening in our lifetimes, the way immigration issues just being tossed around as a bait for latinos voters.
You make several valid points here though, the "Dream Act" is nothing but a "Nightmare" considering what we all go through everyday trying to survive day after day, this just lets me know not to trust or rely on anyone's words, because that's all they are at the end of the day.
