I actually think something can happen on election year. If President Obama and Democrats put this on the table, not just the Dream Act but immigration reform as a whole, he will either get it passed OR secure the Hispanic vote to his favor. The GOP is in serious trouble right now. With more than half of the country wanting a path to citizenship for us, the "NO" action isn't an excuse anymore.

Mark my words, Obama will get re-elected for sure, when we have the Dream Act and an immigration reform is just a matter of before or after January 2013

If there's any chance of an immigration reform bill passing in 2012 it's going to come after the supreme court decision is made in late June 2012 , then the political world will make a big fuss about the decision for about 3-4 months then that takes us to around October which by then the political world is interested in the elections big time so in my opinion I see it in 2013 rather than 2012

I remember saying the same thing after Obama got elected and the dems had super majorities in both the house and the senate. -_-

You will only get disappointed if you put your hopes in politicians!!

Exactly! Seriously guys, we really need to stop putting our lives on hold for promises, we're about to enter the fourth year and nothing substantial has been done to help us, we're just wasting our youth being afraid, sad, and stressed, it's not worth it and life shouldn't be lived that way.

Honestly, I think it's time to leave this Dream Act alone, let Obama and Congress figure out what they want to do; in the meantime, we need to do what we can to get as much education and skills as we possibly can, and plan to get out of this place.

If the Dream Act works in our favor then great! If not, life goes on, we all need to gradually but steadily move on, this is not the only place of opportunity.

But even if they did pass something, do you think any hispanic would change their mind and vote for republicans?

are you also running for office because you sound like a politician. well, everything you said is theoretical and probably not true but if your intention was to lure some young naive dreamers to push for this campaign, then i totally agree with you.

Obama would sign the law if congress can pass it, there is nothing you can do so quit blaming Obama.
