Crossing into Mexico

I'm new to the forum ...reading all of your experiences has been extremely helpful. My situation is as such- I have been brought to the US at the age of 4, illegally. I am now 28 and Engaged to a US citizen who is extremely supportive of my situation. Before we get married, I want to get my papers together because after speaking to a lawyer, marriage wil l not help my status. My option is to go back to Mexico and wait for her to send for my fiancé visa. My question is this, how do I cross into Mexico without being fingerprinted? I need to show as in I've never been to US. I live in NYC . Would a direct flight to Mexico with a Mexican passport, no visa, get me tagged by ICE? Please let me know if any of you had experience with this.

You could walk or drive across the border. I really don't think they'll let you get on that plane...even if they do, they will definitely take note of it.

However, I really wouldn't recommend trying to fool or lie to the government. If you get caught, you may be banned for life. I'm sure you know that if you want to adjust your status through marriage and if you came here illegally, you're most likely going to have to go back to Mexico, which means a ten year ban. Maybe you can come up with a reason that may convince immigration officials to decide otherwise; usually, I think reasons may be like...your spouse depends on you (economically or psychologically) so much that you leaving would devastate their stability. Still, you need a really good lawyer to help you out.

I have a valid Mexican passport. I am reading a lot of posts about checkpoints being set up before crossing the border and figured i can get on a plane with less issues than being stopped at checkpoints. My issue is getting from NY into Mexico...driving the whole way will take almost a day and a half. Plus it's difficult to decide which city to cross in.

NY el paso, and cross by foot to juarez; or san diego to TJ, but there may be checkpoints between SD TJ drive. I don't see why they'd take your fingerprints from going to NY to Mexico tbh. Is there even ICE at NY airport? You could always go to the airport and take a look at check-in; it's what I did.

I crossed to Mexico multiple times by foot and car and never got finger printed. I know they have checkpoints at the border but it's for smuggling purposes. I want to say w/100 % certainty that you won't get fingerprinted if crossing by car 'pero a veces a esos gueyes se les hinchan los huevos'.

They don't check you, just roll across in either Progresso or the Columbia Solidarity Bridge, I can confirm you won't get checked there. Some major crossings they check you on the way into Mexico

By the way, if you are gonna go that route, I suggest your fiance spend some time in Mexico, "studying abroad" or "working in a charity" or some BS so you can say how you met. You best believe they are gonna ask how you know each other.

She vacationed in Mexicoa few times in the past 2 years with her parents so she had her passport stamped. The lawyer said that it was enough, seeing how now days a lot of people keep in touch via Skype, etc.

Haha, My whole concern is the multiple checkpoints on the way, once you enter Texas. Driving there with NY plates, they'll def give me a hard time lol. I am a little inclined towards flying direct bEcause I don't hear that many stories about NYC airports.
