What Are My Options? Non-typical Dreamer

Not sure how many ppl are in my position...

Basically I have a driver's license and social security card. Both legit of course. I am 27, unmarried and my parents are permanent residents eligible for citizenship test this year. I dont have any criminal or civil record. I am not an EWI. My parents filed for me to qualify 245i long ago. I have a college degree from UC Berkeley and attend its graduate school. I came here as a kid from Asia.

Is there any way for me to get permanent residency without marrying a citizen? I want to fight this in a legit way. Thank you for any insight. I dont even know where to begin as I couldnt afford legal advice...

I'm pretty much in the same situation except that I'm younger and from a much lower ranked school.

As of now, there's pretty much no option except to wait for your parents to become citizens and petition you if your parents have filed for your documents before 4/31/01. But this might take 8 or even 10 years. Nobody knows. I'm pretty sure you don't want to stick around for that long.

Other way (best way, I think) is to get married. You're old enough anyways.

Senator Bennett has introduced a bill to issue a special visa to undocumented students with STEM degrees but I wouldn't bet my life on these because politicians often introduce scams like these to keep undocumented immigrants from leaving the country.. Because you see, this country needs undocumented to take the dirtiest and worst jobs..

I guess that the last way is to wait for a war with Iran and go for recruit if you're lucky but that's really a gamble because you might lose a leg or two. And no, even if you have a degree from Berkeley, they don't let a foreigner (especially undocumented like ourselves) to join as officer. They're going to put us in the front line of danger zones

I don't know where you're from but I think you'll do great back in your country with a degree from Berkeley. You're probably like top 1% among us (dreamers) in terms of academia..

There is an option. Leave the country hopefully get a visa come back file under 245i from your parents and you get your green card in 6 - 8 months. Besides that no.

Leave the country and he comes back when he's 37 years old (and that's a MAYBE depending on whether USCIS will issue visa to those with undocumented records... probably NOT even after 10 years unless he becomes rich).

and by the time he's 37 years old, he will be settled in his home country in terms of jobs and he won't have much reason to come to US..

and who said it takes 6 to 8 months to get green card from your parents? more like 6 to 8, or 10 years

how is this a plan, let alone even a possible option? Leaving the country is 10 years ban.

I hear it's more like 5 yrs.??

also STEM act won't qualify me because I got my degree in non-science field =(

Finish your masters, pack your bags, go to your native land, apply to a canadian Phd program, go to canada, sneak across the norther border if you want to come back. This is MY plan.

Basically, JohannBernoulli1667 meant that you can never come back to US to legally work. He meant, go to Canada for Ph.D and work in Canada for the rest of your life. If you want to come to US so much, sneak in south.

that's probably 5 years at least. but it also depends on what country you're from. If you're from a communist country like China, probably as early as 6 years if you're from a developed country like Taiwan, maybe 9 years?
