Hi guys, I'm going to an event tomorrow and Senator Russ Feingold (strong DA supporter) will be the speaker. If after I get in with my foreign passport, I probably have 1 shot of being able to get a question in, especially if I buy his book/ during the book signing process. For the price of $28 for the book (3.5 hours of work...ouch), what should I ask? I'll look through your questions and find one most appropriate. Will let you all know if this was a successful endeavor!

@Dreamyeswecan: Please don't waste your time and money, politicians are just playing games with the Dream Act, you'll get a generic answer from the Senator.

Well, you can ask him if he would be willing to compromise with Republicans on the Arms Act.

I should mention that he is a former senator, so that may or may not change his influence.

@dream becomes reality: you're not wrong at all. In college, I went to a talk given by some higher up in the government and one of the professors was unrelenting in his grilling of the Iraq invasion and of course we all got a standard talking point. I guess what I'm hoping to do is to make him aware that just because he's out of the Senate, it doesn't mean that us Dreamers are invisible/ no longer relevant.

@chessmaster05: that's not a bad question! Thanks guys!

I applaud you for trying, and I don't want to discourage any of us from fighting for the Dream Act, I'm just skeptical about politicians and their intentions concerning this Bill.
