i dont have an id but was born in the U.S, need to travel from wisc., to colo. can my wife by me a ticket and me ride the train with no id

The Amtrak website says you must have a valid photo ID, and they can kick you off the train if you do not. That being said, I rode Amtrack from NJ to D.C. and no one asked to see any ID...so the risk is up to you. I would just apply for a state id if you really were born in the US; will make life much easier.

yes if your wife has ID, she can buy tickets and you can go on train..

but a serious question: how can you not get a ID as US born citizen? and how can you be a US born citizen with this sentence structure?

saw something like this on the news before

a white redneck born in the south, age around 45, never have a ssn and lost his the one and only id in California

of course, he doesn't have birth certificate either and the news say there are a lot of Americans living like this

its not that i cant get my id i have one in colorado where my wife and kids are just a dumbasss that left his id at home in wisconsin now need to get to colorado right now cant wait for mail emergency situation!!!!!

its not that i dont have one rode with a friend to wisconsin from colorado on a fishing trip i forgot my id at home in colorado. a family emergrncy needs me to come home right now spent to much money on hotel etc etc for friend to take me home need to go right now
