I am pretty sure you can get financial aid. Also, keep the grades up, do not be discouraged. If there is anything useful to gather while in out situation is courage and determination. It will help you get through it and make you a heck of a better person. That is how I see it.

Maybe you can ask this guy Ali, do a search for him and send him a message. I know he went to school in Texas and maybe he can give you some insight.

I live in Texas too. Get a passport and a matricula id they let you into the movies with it. On most occasions it works, some people say it doesn't always pass as id, but I haven't had any problems with the matricula, and I went to rich's in Houston. It was fun and we brought our own chicks, but I'm not a club person. Also going alone will probably be a bad idea I saw a lot of noobs just standing around being creepy, but whatever floats your boat. So don't be anti-social you'll regret it. Anytime not spent doing something you like is time wasted forever, think about that...

I personally haven't gotten any financial aid because I just applied Monday for next semester. Do the TAFSA and turn it in ASAP. Requirements are basically tax info, and you have to be in the selective service database. Get the document and you'll see what else you need.

Texas, for how it's perceived as being some sort of horse-riding persons-of-color-lynching outwest wild lands is actually very progressive towards illegals.

We have:
> No nonsense in-state tuition for illegal residents (HB1403)
> No nonsense in-state financial aid for illegal students (TAFSA)

These aren't even recent bills -- the tuition stuff has been around since 2001 (!). We're way the hell ahead of the curve.

I agree! We should advise Texas Dreamers that they have resources.
