I can't share to mean details but I can tell you this much. The US doesn't want to have to legalize anyone if they don't have to so they find any reason during the investigation process to lengthen the process or end it completely.

Just be prepared and know what you'e getting yourself into.

As long as you have a legit marriage, you haven't been deported or been out of the country, and you don't have a criminal record....it should be cake.

Things like these are written upstairs before we are born. I know couple of my good friends from my same home country who recently got married to their USC girlfriends. Lucky bastards but I'm definitely happy someone's status got resolved. Marriage is the only key to green card. The other one, Dream Act, is a very painful one and only God knows when thats going to pass, maybe after 2014 midterm elections?? haha

congrats Karla! I am by no means against marriage, i actually can't wait to find someone to spend the rest of my life with. In the original post i was just complaining that my mom puts all this pressure on me to find a USC bf that can marry me and solve all my immigration problems .... = /

I am dating someone from by home country who is here on a work visa and she abosolutely hates it! she says that its a waste of time and that I just need to break things off with him. maybe she is right ...
