IF OBAMA veto rubio bill, it means that RUBIO BILL IS BAD.

obama has voted down on CIR 2006 ( it provides a path to u.s. citizenship)
because it is a bad bill

PLZ believe in obama

the truth of the matter is that immigration was the least of problems that Obama had on his plate upon beginning his first term. I believe that we have a better chance at Obama actually doing something regarding immigration (whether its cir or dream act) on his 2nd term because hes got nothing to lose.

And i quote, "I would rather be a great 1 term president then a mediocre 2 term president"-Obama, or something to that effect. He could have effectively been the most powerful president in our LIFETIMES if he had managed to pass this last hail marry bill of this. Now to argue he had a lot to deal with. Agreed, this man couldn't have picked a worse time for a liberal black man with a Muslim name to come to office, HOWEVER this bill wasn't in his first 100 days it was at the end of his second year when he threw out tons of hail marries and just sorta choose to let this last one fall astray. Any immigration bill until the economy isn't better is effectively UNAMERICAN but to fuck with the lives of folks who live here and by all means are consider American until they disclose their legal status in this country is also UNAMERICAN and even INHUMANE, oh yeah and very HYPOCRITICAL of this country who plays peacemaker to the world.

This is the only reason why I'm still encouraging my family and friends to vote for him. He hasn't had an easy road as POTUS and I don't want to belittle the accomplishments of his presidency. But, I'm not going to avoid criticizing the lack of effort on his part when it comes to immigration reform/DREAM Act. In our case, we have Obama on one side who's done nothing on immigration reform, and has kept up deporting and separating families. On the other side, we have the Republicans who don't hide the fact that they are all about self-deportation/scapegoating immigrants. So, what are we left with?

Everyone has to do with what's right for them. I'm willing to wait through his second term, but that may not be the right plan for everyone else. If I left for my home country now, I would be leaving with nothing and headed towards nothing. So, I'll wait.

Just keep in mind that we're not the only ones who are unhappy with the way things have turned out. He made promises to the LGBT Community that haven't been kept and he's been much more conservative on certain issues than many liberals had hoped he would be.

Hating on Obama won't get sh*t done, and if he loses, we are in trouble and at mercy with those Romney's self-deportation sh*tty policies he'll implement. Even though Obama didn't do much for us at this point, we have no choice but to support him if we want something done in the future. If nothing happens in the future either if he gets re-elected, then Obama truly was a dipsh*t.

Legislation is at the mercy of l e g i s l a t o r s - CONGRESS - and as most Democrats say they woud never vote for the immigration laws that Republicans advocate, it doesn't matter who is president.

The President matters to American voters - ie, not me- so, in all reality, what matters is Congress. I am not lifting a nail to help this president get re-elected. None in my family wanted to vote for him the first time, and if they do give him his votes now, it won't be with my help.

Also, by now, you must know that to know where someone stands, watch what they do, not what they say.

Romney was immigrant-friendly as a Governor, because he understood that the policies helped his state.

Obama played the immigrant-rights community by saying all the right thigns, only to renegue on helping "good, hard-working folks looking for a better life", by detaining and deporting hundreds of thousands that could be described as above.

Democratic-controlled WA state just activated Secure Comm, with a not a peep from our Dems in state or national legislature.

Again, if Romney is saying what he can to get elected, well, then we have Durbin, Reid, Gutierrez, Pelosi, et all to save the day. As they have saved it for the 11 years the Dream Act has been tossed around in Congress.
