Dang the right is so harsh on provisions. Under 10? And it's non-renewable... Also I expected it to limit our chances of chain migration it is a republican bill after all, but holy crap I think they only want to help like 25% of current dreamers. I'm sorry for those that are worried by all these speculations. I want everyone to know, if it is too strict I will oppose it. I'm very lucky to somehow always qualify no matter what restriction they put on it. Well at least so far. I'm kind of worried that they will only gives us a 5 year visa, and I feel like getting a green card in 5 years will be quite a task.

Do yall overstayers think you could get a green card in 5 years with a new visa?

It depends. Your USC/PR parent and/or Sibling can file a petition for you and not have to leave country even if not under 245i.

wow... who cares if the visa is not renewable. The age cap/restriction is the only problem if they decide to have one.

think guys (girls), all you need is relief...I don't care if Rubio's bill doesn't provide a path to residency, you can always marry a citizen. You can get an employer to sponsor you for an H1B visa (renewable = 6 yrs total).....and maybe they'll even sponsor you for a green card. --To increase your chances of this you should be an engineer or a computer geek.

Employer option gives you 10 fkn yrs to get a green card....Rubio's visa 4 yrs + 6 yrs in H1B visa.

Marriage option---well, under Rubio's bill you might just have 4 yrs.

We can find ways to legalize, what we can't do is wait forever.
