If Obama wins, it's possible on his 2nd term. But if Romney wins, and a republican president may I add, chances are very bleak that he'll do more for us than what has been done now.

Obama can speak volumes about his support for the Dream Act by taking out his pen and signing some sort of immediate Relief for us, while Congress works to put together some sort of Dream Act.

Anything short of that doesn't matter to me.
Rubio's bill is the immediate relief.

That is what Rubio's bill is all about.

The only reason why I even write down Romney as even having a chance is that new reports are being released today of a potential Israeli strike on Iran in Sept/October. If that goes down, say goodbye to Obama in the white house.
If Rubio's bill fails then Reid will wait after the elections when the Democrats take back the House and add more seats in Senate and then it will be very easy to get the votes from the Democrats alone to pass the Durbin's version.

No chance for Romney though. Romney needs a miracle to win.

Why would an Israeil attack on Iran have negative effects on Obama's campaign?

Can someone explain this to me? It is not like Romney is a war hero or retired general.

I must add, I hate Zionist, they are a bunch of racist, sadistic xenophobes.

AGH!

You sound more concerned about Obama's job than your own future. Let me let you in on a little secret DA User, whether or not Obama wins a second term, the guy is all set, he'll always get paid from his previous book(s) and future books that he'll most likely write so trust me, the guy is doing quite well for himself and will continue to get paid; I can't necessarily say the same for Dreamers in the US, seeing that we're in a tricky situation here.

If you still believe that Obama can't do anything at all to provide us with any sort of temporary Relief before the elections, then I have 2 things that I'd like to sell to you:
(1) A bridge in Brooklyn
(2) Some oceanfront property in Kansas

Please get with the program, being gullible is really not a good look.

The Dream Act will eventually go through Obama's desk when he signs it so yes I am concerned about his job. It is pretty obvious that Obama is going to win it easily in November and Democrats will take back the House and add more seats in the Senate. Under Obama, DHS has got more lenient with that memo that came out and how they are taking it by case by case basis.

Right...yet there are still stories of non-criminal Dreamers being deported. Obama has deported more people and split up more families than any other president without working concurrently on some sort of Relief/Immigration Reform, I guess that's the definition of leninency in your book not mine.

These men (Obama,Romney) will tell you anything, and everything to be a President.. No lie, i would do the same...Two /2/ yrs for Obama what has he done for immigrants?!?! Oh yes, that is right nothing, he is starting to do something now before election.. Bush has done more for us then this idiot.

I give this idiot one credit. When he said there will be change. He won! More unemployment, more lies, more deportations etc etc etc.

And this man is a President?!?! He couldnt whip his team to pass bills in Senate and House lol.. Dont give me the excuse that there is a 60 vote fillibuster

No one knows the full story when they publish about a non-criminal getting deported. Obama has deported hardcore criminals then any other Admin so now USA is safer then ever.

Under Obama, he pushed for the Dream Act and 5 votes short of passing in 2010. Other CIR bills came out in the Congress. Morton memo in the DHS. CSPA lawsuits. Obama does not control unemployment although it is going down for sure.

Tell me one president who hasn't lied? Obama is an African American President and an EO for undocumented immigrants = impeachment. Now tell me why he would risk this. I guess we're all entitled to something.

The rationale behind it is that if Israel attacks Iran, it would cause a spiral of higher oil prices(regardless of if Iran closes the straits of Hormuz or not), a potential attack on US military targets, and most likely replunge the world economy into a global recession, all elements which if happening two months before an election would endanger any incumbent, esp if Obama feels forced to support Israel's venture and thus launch the country into it's third major war in this young century.

Benjamin Netanyahu called elections for Sept 4. today and some analysts state he is calling an "early" election so that during the weeks in which his administration is transitioning he can literally call an attack without vast oversight. The sad things is he could easily do it during that time span as well because election season would be heating up and the American security infrastructure would be likely distracted to say the least. It might not happen, but it is certainly a factor that should be taken into consideration. And seeing the trends on the wall I would be shocked if israel does not strike Iran by 2014, if not by mid 2013. And seeing as how America is enslaved to AIPAC I would be shocked if America doesn't join in in some degree or the other.

Here are some articles on the subject

http://www.timesofisrael.com/tv-repo...ember-october/

http://www.timesofisrael.com/netanya...n-september-4/

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/20...-iran-nuclear/

There may very well be an october surprise in plans by Israel. It makes perfect political sense too for Netanyahu to even go along this dangerous and foolish trajectory. But hopefully he's not that crazy and backs out. I hope the analysts who call this particular concept unlikely are right, the opposite would be horrible.
