Yes you CAN (make money)

I have always been a person of action and not so much talk. If you're like me, then I have good news for you.

Back in 2009 I found this website called Zazzle. It's a site specialized on printing designs/pictures on t-shirts, mugs and stuff like that. The cool thing about it is you can post your designs/pictures and sell them in their marketplace and make some serious cash if you're good at this.

About a year ago I decided to quit my job as a HVAC & R technician and go into this full time. Since 2009 I had worked on my designs 1 hour a night, five nights a week. I wasn't making that much money, but hey, would you turn down a $300 check every x-mast or a $50 check for each month of the year?

I'm not saying money will fall from the sky or that this kind of job is for everyone out here. All I'm saying is that if you're interested, I'm willing to help, we are a community and we need to help each other.

The best things about Zazzle and Redbubble (I opened a new account on Redbubble because I wanted to expand the market for my designs/pictures) are:

***You don't need to pay any monthly fees like other POD (print on demand) sites like CafePress or SpreadShirt. As a seller/designer, everything is free.

***You don't need a SSN. You only need an ITIN. At the end of the year you'll get a 1099 form to do your taxes if you earned more than $600

***You set your hours and you keep the rights to your work. I specially liked that because you can work on this while still going to school or working somewhere else.

The downside of this is:

***You're not going to be making money instantly, unless you're really really good. I remembered I went for about 6 months before even selling anything.

***You need a strategy. Don't assume just because your drawings are great anyone will be interested on buying them. You need a target market and go after it.

***You need a lot of patience and be willing to work HARD.
