I'm in talks with some potential roommates there, hoping to move in around mid June. This will be my first time away from my family, I'll probably lease a room for a few months and if things don't work out I'll come back to my job on the east coast. Any tips or experiences you care to share? Whether about Seattle/UD or moving out in general
The right roommate will make life easy. The wrong room-mate - ie. drug user, doesn't pay rent on time, etc. will make life a nightmare. Not too familiar with that part of the city but if it's close to UW, the prices may be high simply because it's close to the university. If you plan on going to school it's ok, but if you're not, you might find somewhere cheaper. I can't imagine it'd cost more than say Queen Anne though.
