So today I txted my college roomie if i can borrow a shirt and she told me to just look in her drawer and thats where i found this bundle of cash... a bunch of 20s, 50s and even 100 bills. Ive never even held $100 bucks cash in my hands ever! Theres probably like a thousand bucks in that drawer.... anyway, no I didnt steal any of her cash. Its her money, but it really got me thinking of how crazy lucky other people can be.

My roomie has parents who give her $200 a month for allowance, she's never had a job, drives a nice car, spends her money on disneyland (she pays like 600 bux for the most expensive annual pass), she gets even more money on bdays, and her parents pay for all her rent and tuition. I dont hate her, she's nice despite being very naive about the real world. Her dreams just include marrying her boyfriend and working with sea animals.

It just really makes me consider what kind of life i wouldve had if i was lucky enough just to be born here. I dont mind if i dont have rich parents like hers, ill just make my own money.Ill get to be less emotionally guarded coz i dont have to worry about a guy finding out im undocumented. I get to have simple dreams like marriage....

I just feel so displaced from the life of an average american teenager. I guess thats one of reasons i shelled out some savings to move out to college for a short while because being in a dorm makes me feel normal.

But seeing that wad of cash made me realize that as long as im here and theres no dream act, it will take a lot of streetsmarts for me to even get close to half of its amount.

Sorry if thid has been random. Sometimes some people are just so lucky it makes me frustrated with my own life and what i couldve become if i had the opportunitirs they had :/

she got rich parents
you got thick skin

thats how you have to look at it. like you said, shell be emotionally attached to all that crap and her daddy's money, while your learning how to fence for your own in the real world. One day you guys may find yourselves out of money in the middle of nowhere, who do you think will know how to deal with it better on your own?

anyways take $20 from that bitch.. f*** her
