Do we need to get sponsored for H1 with this work permit or can we just work right away?

If we don't need H1 sponsorship, can we just tell the employer that we're a permanent resident and they won't know the difference?

Please re-read the threads on what the status entails. This is a deferred action work permit that would be valid for 2 years if the criteria is met.

Deferred action is required to be approved first for the 2 years then you file an I-765 @$380 with the associated Approved deferred action to gain the work permit.Typically work permits usually take ~3 months to approve.

So is it just the I-765 that will have to be turned in??? Or will they produce another application in the coming days. I'm hoping to start school this fall so it possible that the work permits arrive by this fall??

I don't think you should count on permits being available that soon, I mean we can't even apply for anything for 60 days- so until mid-August. Add at least three months to that for the work permit approval.
