You can only savotage your party so much, and reversing an immigration policy that is way long due will surely hit their party bad in a LONG TERM.

The immigrant community is growing in terms of voting population. The Republican party has to appeal to them now if not in the future, and I don't think reversal of the current situation will do them any good and downright step backward for this country if it ever happens.
Agreed Romney is unlikely too reverse this choice. And his action yesterday in supporting the Rubio bill and legalization of undocumented youth fully shows that with one policy change the political left has finally succeeded in liberalizing immigration discourse for the first time since 2006. I think dreamers are safe, the only problem now though will be to push for broader immigration reform. This is the moment you guys. Seize it, live it, but most importantly dream it and make it reality.

I dont know why you are mad at Obama. The last Dream Act that was in congress cut the age to 30 from 35, so I guess that is why he went that way. I understand your frustratin, because I would be crying had i been in that situation. Good luck. I actually dont see a CIR happening, because I dont think they want to give it to people who knew what they were doing but I really do believe they will give it to people 35 and under soon.

I haven't been an active member here recently but was back in 07-08 and I find this new law a complete slap in the face for the rest of us who are over 30+ and been here for 20+ years. What a crock of sh*t, anger and frustration doesn't even begin to describe the feeling I have at the moment. My mother actually cried yesterday which is ironic since she voted (along with my father) for Obama in 2008 and this is the thanks they get. But whatever that’s life you move on and hope for the best.

There are people who have been waiting from the 1986 laws. Over 25+ years.

They could have added the Retroactive Clause and still left it at 30.

Plenty of Dreamers with a degree that are over 30.

Right but this policy change does not require you to have any college education unlike the Dream Act.
