I am grateful to have the opporturtunity to join you today in what will tatoo the voice of truth in the minds of many Christians for years to come.

In 2001, two good Christian and brave men introduced the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM ACT) legislative proposal in the United States Senate. This legislative became a beacon of hope to the 65,000 young, lost souls caught in the trenches of a broken immigration system annually.

But ten years later, these lost souls are still caught in these dark and agonizing trenches with no hope of ever seeing the end of their deployment in the current immigration war. Ten years later, the young, hopeful, and full of life illegal child still lives in the shadows of these trenches, in a country that proclaims to give its youths the tools necessary to conquer a prosperous future. Ten years later, Lord, we still find ourselves living in fear, with our dreams of ever using our knowledge and giving back to our beloved America shattered. Our good Christian politicians have given us empty diplomas, diplomas with no face values, and drafted us into an immigration war with no ending.

Hi Everyone,
I have written the above speech on June 9th and wonder if anyone would like to add something to it! By the way, if you feel better now about sharing your story, why not joining me in writing a book about our struggles.

What's the deal with the religious talk on here. Tom Delay was a Christian. Rick Perry is a Christian and he took away our driver's licenses and used hatred towards us to get re-elected in Texas. What does that have to do with anything?

True. Not everyone's Christian. Don't force your belief on others.

While I am Christian myself, many Christian republicans had done the opposite for us and tried to take away our opportunities. dream act is not some religion-based policy, its just politics.

I don't get it, perhaps its the fact that I partially skimmed this, but does it matter whether they are christian or not? Why include it? Christians are going to support and reject any form of legislation just like a muslim would, or an athiest, even.

Well, I could play the devil's advocate and say that I don't know of a single Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic, Humanist, Buddhist, or other non-mainstream (in the US at least) religion voting against the Dream Act or speaking poorly of it, but the only votes against came from the "good Christians." So as long as we're allowed to force our beliefs on to others, I'd pick the godless heathens any day.
