Gonna be honest with y'all. Now I'm getting a bit nervous. Is driving a car difficult?? I'm sure you're laughing at me at this point but this is a legitimate thing. I've never sat on the drivers seat. But I'm assuming its not a big deal as I see old people and young punks driving cars like they own the damn road. Also, I'm anxious about starting out a new job. I guess there is a first time for everything so I'll just go step by step...anybody have similar feelings??

Get familiar where your gas and break is. Alot of it is muscle memory and with time your foot gets sensitive to the power of the car. Start watching videos on youtube about different driving maneuvers like parallel parking and turning. Most important thing is practice even if its just driving in a straight line.

Why don't you go ahead and sit in the driver's seat for a bit. Become familiar with where everything is. When I first did that it felt really weird. I was really nervous about the whole idea of driving. So the night before my first lesson I sat in the car, in the garage. I had to learn manual transmission so that night I sat there and, with the car parked, I tried shifting gears. Just prepare mentally for what it's like. Put my foot on the gas/brake pedal. Learned where the clutch is and what it's for. How to turn on the headlights, blinkers, etc.

Do all this before you actually get on the road. This will help you prepare mentally and not panic once you're learning to drive.

It is not all that hard is just practice, the hard part is your foot work at first it's hard getting the hang of it, it's too sensitive but you'll get use to it in a week or two nothing to it and always watch your mirrors and be careful with your blind spots.
