I think Obama will pas CIR in his second term. Republicans will have to fight the natavist section of their party or they will never win the white again. No latino, black, asian vote means no white house. 70% of voters are white, but Obama also gets a nice chunk of that 70% + the mojority of the minority votes = SECOND TERM.

We'll be lucky if the DA passes in his 2nd term, let alone the CIR. Am i one of the only few ones here who think CIR has significantly less of a chance of passing than DA?

If politics has taught me anything it is that a bill's likelihood of passage or failure is not the same today or next week. CIR may have a better chance of passing after we see the makeup of Congress come November. So, never say never. We certainly never thought a bipartisan bill like DREAM Act would still not be law 10 years later.

Perhaps another DHS policy for the 31-34 Dreamers and/or Retroactive clause?
There are original Dreamers who are over 35 now too.

They were 34 in 2001 so now they are 46.

CIR should pass in 2nd term and hopefully the unemployment rates goes down more by then. Remember, USA is getting more diverse each day and Hispanics will soon be majority in the USA.

My Prediction : I am 99% sure that Dream Act will pass in his 2nd term if it does not before the elections. If CIR passes then DA will be attached to it.

I just hope Obama learns from Bush and doesn't decide to push CIR/DA until the last half of his second term when he's a lame duck.

If he pushes it the first half it will benefit both parties, especially Republicans. They can get this whole immigration thing over and done with or risk the Republican nominee being in the same position Romney is now- pissing off Latinos, or pissing of the Tea Party.

But we can't get there if we don't get out the vote!

^ He'll get one, no worries. I'd be surprised if Romney wins, and that'll just go on to show how ignorant the voters have become.
