Very informative on all levels, particularly about individuals who are now 29 and are granted deferred action and whether their work card will be renewed, seems to be a gray area, this is discussed at approx: 1 HR and 2 Min Mark.

It would make no sense not to be able to renew after reaching the age of 30, lets say you are now a college grad and are excelling in your career , what happens after you are 30 , U.S.C.I.S will not let you renew deferred action / work permit ? This thought makes no sense to me !

It also doesn't make sense in that this would imply that once your deferred action is no longer renewable, then the next step, presumably, is to be placed in removal proceedings. That is: "you have deferred action, we can't touch you; after you turn 31 (following what's suggested above), you no longer have deferred action to protect you so we can attempt to remove you."

I don't think USCIS or ICE would say: "OK. You no longer have deferred action so go back into the shadows like you were before you applied. Bye!"

If, somehow, deferred action were terminated for all those who qualify (say, by Romney), then I think something else would be in the works, or all the massive protests and marches would at least move Congress to pass something.

The USCIS FAQs up to now say that deferred action can be renewed after two years. It would have seemed logical that they would have specified such a significant limitation, i.e."Deferred action can be renewed after two years as long as the applicant has not attained the age of 31."

do they say whether you need to have a GED or be enrolled by the application date or june 15th?

Another issue, what happens if you obtain deferred action and a Dream Act like bill passes but you don't qualify for that bill?
