Honestly since my current DL from NM is good for 8 years, I am likely just going to hold onto it. I guess it will depend on a few factors later in the year for me.

Arizona accepts EAD.
The tenth bullet in the list says: "US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Employment Authorization Document (i-688A, i-688B, 1-766)

WA is the best place. no questions asked. everyone is polite. And the stay is pleasant.

It was the same experience for me in NM and it was easy as can be. I did not even have to have my own car for the road test.

I believe that Florida is one of the states that does NOT accept just an EAD

It looks like if you select "non-immigrant" you can use a EAD as your primary proof but if you select "immigrant" then it does not look like you have EAD as your status. Might want to check to see if you could apply under a non-immigrant status. You never know...

You're a non-immigrant. Immigrant is a term of art, meaning you have legal permanent residence.
