Hello guys,

I had the worst of luck, two notaries I went to denied notarizing my document (an affidavit) for in state tuition in New York. They told me I needed a state issued id?! I am just wondering what other students are doing. I had my documents notarized once before when I had a bank account with no problem... so I suspected it is more out of bad faith.

Thanks all!

They don't take student ID with no Date of Birth. Therefore, college ID won't work. Try high school ID and passport is acceptable.

Keep trying around. Some Notaries are more lenient than others.

A lot of local UPS stores are notaries. Try calling a few in your area.
