I know people have said that greyhound is dangerous while using this transportation medium but what about Amtrak, has anyone encountered any type of problem ? Any help would be appreciated since I'm planning on next weekend.

I can tell u. U are risking the biscuit. Anything coming from the border is subject to inspection. Let us know how u did, dont matter which side you are in

Didn't you get the memo? You cannot be deported.

I wouldn't use Amtrak honestly, especially starting from San Diego.

If you have a friend who can drive, I would do that. The I-5 has a checkpoint out of SD but it's usually closed.

I live in San Diego, and have taken the Amtrak many times to LA, and i have to say I've never seen any BP or CBP agents on board. But nowadays anything can be risky.

In my personal opinion, you should be fine. As long as you can speak clear English and come off as being American. If you by chance happen to ever come up on a BP official never tell them you are undocumented, just say yes I am an American. Worked fine for me when I encountered some BP officials. At the time I was even dumb enough to try to continue to talk to them about why they are doing what they were doing. I am normally in NYC so BP was a bit of surprise to me at the time when I traveled to Buffalo, NY. (near border of Canada)
