Hey all, longtime lurker, first time poster.

So I'm going to Vegas in a week with my gf and a group of friends. However, the only identification I have is my Mexican passport that I got about 2 weeks ago at the Los Angeles Consulate, a renewed Matricula, and my college ID.

My question is, how likely is it that I will be allowed entry to casinos and clubs (tao, marquee, etc..) with only those forms of ID? I would assume my best bet is my passport but it doesn't have any visa stamps on it or anything like that.

Have any of you experienced a similar scenario recently and had no issues? Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks all!

ps. Im 23/m

You're good with the passport bro. ALOT of international tourists in Vegas, bouncers aren't immigration, they don't care about your status,.just your age.

My brother who's undocumented went to Las Vegas with 3 friends, one of them undocumented, last month. They dressed up for a club and when they arrived, they approved the friend's Mexican Passport but rejected my brother's Mexican Matricular card, so they ended up leaving. Concluded that one's better off with a passport for I.D. in Vegas.

If you have your Mexican passport, you should be fine, as long as it's not expired, obviously.

Relax. I wish for you, your GF, and your friends to have an awesome time!

Thank you everyone for the feedback I really appreciate it. My friends have been telling me that it'll be fine since there's thousands of tourists there. I was having second thoughts because I read somewhere that its advised for doormen to check for visas and that sometimes cops are the ones checking IDs. Also, I recall a few years ago someone made a similar thread and someone said that at the casino they told them they shouldn't be there without a visa and told them to get out.

Everyone's replies have helped out. If anyone else has something to add feel free to chime in

I have a very similar concern as well. Got my passport a few months ago and told my brother about it and he told me that sometimes the bouncers flip through your passport to look for a visa. (seems absurd to me)

If some of you can come and share your recent experiences that would bring a lot of tranquility to me. At the moment I'm considering cancelling because I'm a bit scared that they my deny me and turn me in to the cops.

Nets:
When will you be heading out there? Im visiting Aug 10-12

I live in Vegas, a passport is all you need.

Note: Matricula's are not accepted in many places in Las Vegas, including clubs, casinos, Wal-Mart, etc.
