I am currently living with my parents so really my income, and expenses are zero. Is this going to affect me negatively? The thing is though next year i have to pay almost 9k a semester to go to college, can i put that on the additional section? Or would i put future expenses in the section? Im confused on this issue, and sure as hell dont want to be denied.

Can someone give me and insight on this? Thanks

My advice is to put something. Honestly, if you an allowance from your parents, that's an income as well. In addition, because your parents pay for it, doesn't change the fact that your spending money. Include how much you spend on getting clothes, food, school supplies, and etc... they are all your expenditures whether your parents paid for it or not.

Allowance is NOT an income. At best, they're "gifts" in the legal sense. If you live with your parents and you have no independent income (as in, some stranger isn't paying you in exchange for labor or investment), you do NOT have an income.

You should write down that you live with your parents and are currently financially dependent on them for expenses. You write down your annual expenses, including college, because that is a real, immediate impact on your financial situation.

If you live with your parents and they pay for most of your stuff, you're in the same boat as most dreamers.

Your parents allowance is considered, in the accounting sense, as a gift- and any liability/tax would be the responsibility of your parents, not you, the recipient. Also, it is not considered income. If your tuition bill comes with your name on it (as it should) then you would enter that as an expense.

I-765WS is just a formalized version of what you have to write down if you apply with I-765 normally. Even with that, they don't really care as long as you don't write down something outlandish ("I earn a million dollars and I spend about $5 a year"). Just include your college tuition and explain on the writing section that you're anticipating tuition for the upcoming semester.
