Biometrics and birth certificate necessary?

My passport was renewed a couple months ago and it has biometrics, do I still need to pay the bio fee and get my prints taken?

Also I'm not sure if I should get my birth certificate translated and sent in since I have a valid passport. What are you guys doing?

I'm sure you don't need a birth certificate if you have a passport. And yes everyone has to do biometrics even if your passport has it.
They state that if you don't pay the bio fee you will not be considered.

I'm not sending birth certificate cuz i'm sending both expired and valid passports. Also, I'm sending copy of my school IDs and expired CA DL too. those should be plenty to prove my identity.

Biometrics is required. Your passport (assuming your home country) is basically a foreign document.

Birth Cerf is not required if you have a valid passport, although you can still include it as identification evidence.

Thanks, that saves me the trouble of finding a translator at least
