Why do we need this? My mom told me that aren't they going to photograph us at the biometrics appointment? ?I already have 3 IDs in my evidence as my photos - passport copy, and school ID.

The photos will be used for your work permit. They only use one photo, the second one is just in case they mess up your photo.
