Good for you that you are able to save..but again remember that it is considered a savings account, money your not going to touch unless its an emergency. this is the mentality they will use. They will care more about income and expenses then what you have in the bank unless you have a more subtantial amount like 50-100k ...but 10k can be easily used in one day God forbid you have an emergency or need to use the emergency room so they will not count that against you. Just make sure that you do not lie on your application and be completely honest, don't try to hide any money or anything like that.

I am not sure whether I am EWI or TWOV for question 14 on I765. I came here illegally as a child through the airport.

And are checks instead of money orders ok?

Do we have to prove our expenses and income for I765 with documents?
Checks should be okay.
As to proving your statements on your I765, from USCIS:
"It is not necessary to submit supporting documenation, though it will be accepted and reviewed if you choose to submit it."

Confirm or deny?
A car is considered an asset if you own the title. Rule of thumb on if something is an asset or not ( can you donate it?). The only difference is that companies can write off the depreciation on their cars where you can't. If you are making payments (financed or leased) it is not an asset. Anything with value in your legal pocession is an asset. You can easily put the car on the market at 500-600 bucks under the value and get cash offer within a day; so it is as good as cash.

I already finished my college degree but I'm putting "high school graduate" just to be safe.
What's wrong with putting College Graduate in that space? It asks for CURRENT education status, and if you graduated college, your current status would be college graduate. Just my opinion.

3 Questions that haven't been fully answered:

Do we put the college we graduated from or just the high school in the education information section?

If we entered with a visa, such as a B-2 visa, do we put the airport name or simply the city on questions 14 which asks for Place of Entry into the United States?

2 separate enotification forms or just 1? Since there is no fee, then I don't see the harm in sending 2.

And the I-94 is the number printed on the top left corner of the I-94 form right?
1. You put your MOST RECENT education that you graduated, so if you are not done with college you put your status as "High School Graduate" if you recently graduated college you put your college graduation. put status as "College Graduate" ...if you just graduated college dont forget to include hs documents (transcript, diploma, awards) under evidence will be extremely helpful

2. One E-Notification in the FRONT of all the application. There is harm bc they want to reduce paper work and if you send two by mistake they might make two separate files for your case increasing the chance of your documents getting lost.

3. Yes the I-94 Number is on the top left and make sure you send a COPY. DO NOT SEND YOUR ORIGINAL I-94. The I-94 is your ticket to becoming a legal permanent resident; the moment you lose it or misplace it; well lets just say you dont want that to happen.

Do you think we would be better off sending them awards we have received? I don't know because that would be redundant if you already sent your transcripts or diplomas. Thoughts?

NOOOOOO , don't do that, they will interpret it as you have a high salary.....just put a 0 under income and put down the total of your yearly expenses which also shouldn't be that high since you are only in hs..im guessing somewhere from 1500-2000/year........Under the paragraph write something that describes your situation..like say you are still in high school currently living with your parents and due to your current immigration status you are unable to work and depend on your parents to cover your expenses..

when speaking of school transcripts, does it mean high school? Or is there a way to get elementary and middle school?

Yes..if you were not the person "legally" being inspected or there isn't a record that it was YOU being inspected and fingerprinted then you were never inspected. Equivalent of crossing the border without getting caught. If there's no record of you ever entering the country then you are considered EWI

If you have transcripts from Elementary and Middle school you can use that as a proof of continuous residence for five years.
