I'm in high school right now, about to start my senior year on wednesday. I was planning on starting college in the fall of 2013, but I don't really know if I can do that. I live in Illinois, and undocumented students get in-state tuition here. However, I recently consulted with my attorney and my green card process is still moving along, so he recommended I apply for DACA. However, I don't know if I'll have my green card by the spring of 2013, and that's when high school seniors fill out their FAFSA's. My cousin also falls into the 245i thing like me, and she got her green card within 2 months of applying! I didn't believe her at first, but whatever. But could any of you tell me if I get a green card WHILE in college, like in freshman or sophomore year, can I still apply for federal aid, or does it have to be BEFORE entering college?

you have to apply for FAFSA every year no matter what. So yes, you can apply for it after entering college

You usually apply for fafsa before school starts each year. So if you can't get your AOS your first year of college, you can apply for aid the next year or the following year if you do fix your status then.
