Hello, my name is Miguel and, like many of you, I'm trying to fill out my applications, proofreading, double checking etc. However, there are a couple of technicalities that I was wondering if I could get some help on.

1.) Should I try to make my application as simple as possible by only including a valid passport, Mexican Consulate Card (Matricula), HS and college Transcripts, and student IDs?

2.) I am currently down here in California with relatives for the summer, so should my application be made for Oregon or California? I plan on going back on the 15th of September and I came down here on the 4th of July.

3.) Should I make a cover letter and/or index for the documents?

4.) How do the documents go in order? G-1145, I-821D (with supporting evidence), I-765 (with check and passport paperclipped to the front of the application), and lastly the I-765W?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Sincerely,
Miguel

1) Not sure if the bare minimum is advantageous or disadvantageous, but if it covers everything they ask for then it should be alright.

2) The location you send it to is based off where you live. So I would figure it is based off your own home address, visiting California might not matter if your home address is in Oregon or something...so I think you would go off of your Oregon address and Oregon filing instructions.

3) Cover letter is being used by many users, it will most likely help more than hurt.

4) Not sure if there is a specific order to put the forms in your package, but the G-1145 may be best put on top, as I think the instructions for that form says to clip it on top....can't remmeber. Although its probably best to have your forms in the front and your evidence sorted out in the back.
