So i have submitted my DACA app, received my G1145 notification, waiting on my i797 etc...

I have been working with a made up social for about 5 years now, same company, making 35k every year, paid my taxes with my itin. Two days ago, I was let go...., been burned out for months (sales job), I have avoided quitting because obviously rent/food necessities, here's my question. In my state there is such a thing as Unemployment Insurance. The same unemployment thing you hear people being on the news. I checked the website to estimate how much I could get , and 450 a week based on last years income. Basically you file for unemployment until you get a job, so here are my two basic options, apply for unemployment using that made up ssn that has a record and has 450 coming my way, or struggle with not having a job for up to 3,4 months till my daca hopefully gets approved. I live with the fiancee and her kid.....

someone please advise.

don't do it. collecting unemployment WILL fuck you up in the future.

Just like you'll never see that money you've put into the SS program; let it go and look for a new job.

Pretty sure you need to be authorized to work to get unemployment insurance, besides you can't claim that insurance unless you get fired because the company was cutting down, if you get fired because you fucked up or you just quit then you won't get a penny.

It's tough, but look for a new job. Collecting benefits that you were never eligible for can come back to bite you in the ass later. Don't do it.

This is just a fraction of how people are abusing the system. If you live in a very liberal state with lax laws, you will find people just straight up chillin all day. I even know somebody who works off the books at one place just so she can collect unemployment from the state. Two incomes..what a way to benefit from the system. Honestly Obama needs to do something about this because even I don't support such lenient laws. This is nothing. Where I live, the government even pays for you damn rent, utilities, gives you all types of food stamps for food and extra cash on the card for other expenses. You would think its Christmas everyday. Oh yeah OP, don't get into that mess. Just to give you an idea, you know what would happen if somebody who's never worked a day in his life won the lottery? The government will snatch EVERY last penny back from that individual. Don't do it.

Absolutely brah. This is the only issue I don't agree in with Obama. As harsh as it may sound unemployed people (specially with children) should be more persistent to find work to support their family. I hate this leeches.

Then ofcourse they blame US lol
