^There is a huge difference between claiming US citizenship and just using a fake/made-up SSN.It would be up to prosecution to prove you knowingly claimed US citizenship....just using an SSN wouldn't be enough.

Note:I've never used any fake numbers probably can't relate to this as others. However,I have used my Itin for what I needed.

IRCA 1986 demands that all employers issue a I-9 and get relevant info back.
If you signed I-9 and were Unlawful I guess you're never gonna AOS. I guess no one applied for AOS after 1986.
LOL!!!!!!!!!
You guys are acting like kids.

You guys gotta use all the white and grey matter in your brains c'mon.

Lawyers advised to put any income made with a made up ssn, so if you put income and you leave the ssn part blank wouldnt that be a little weird?
What is everybody doing about this?

The question does not ask " Please provide us with ALL the fake social security numbers you have used while unlawfully working in the united states" , why dont you add a copy of the fake social while you are at it.

LOL People come on! that question is there because back in the 90's people were issues socials for other purposes... the only social you should put there its if you were ever given one that was LEGALLY asign to you.

Its obvious that people after being here for so long will have the need to work and will find a way to do so and immigration knows this, so that is why is ok to provide them with income documents but in no way will you provide them with the PROOF that you commited a federal offense (SSN Misused) or (tampering with Govt document).

Come on let this question die already its common sense.

I didn't put it on the application. But i did sent W-2 with the fake SSN. Under my name. I guess it will not be considered Identity theft, because I never used a a different name other than mine. And the Gov is not stupid. They know all illgals work, and they somehow got to put a fake SSN. Do you think that's something new? that's why they trying to bring you out of the shadows, but I'll let you know if sending w-2 had any affect on my process.
