Ha, it seems like you are actually out of touch with the loopholes in the system. The IRS doesn't give a crap about your immigration status, so much that they encourage illegal aliens to file their taxes and obtain ITINs without even having W-2 forms just for the sake of them being able to "do what's right" for them. It's common procedure for illegals to request an ITIN and photoshop the number onto green card templates so that when they get their W-2's the forms have the ITIN on them. Just this year the IRS announced that it doesn't matter whether the SSN or ITIN numbers match, they just want a number to work with.
