yeah ive been googling this lol, ugh.. hopefully it states we just need our I-821d aceptance letter or I-797c acceptance letter!

Yeah most states limit the id/dl for a year, or the time of the EAD but, cali doesnt do that currently, the EAD Is just to proof your here legally. With a working ssn cali issues ids for 4-6 years as the ssn is a valid one and they do check it. later you just renew and renew via mail :P for DL its 4 years? hmm and u can renew by mail if you have a good record.

Not quite true.

Limited Term Legal Presence

All original and pending driver license or identification cards will expire on the expiration date of his/her birth date and legal presence document (BD/LP) issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
I had read this before.
basically we'll have to be renewing everything every two years.

ha! thanx for info!
eh ive heard or been told that some workers dont check the exp. date when you have ur ssn or w/e with work authorization. eh maybe just luck well see what happens. Hopefully the bill will take into affect soon as it is passed by brown.
edit: read that it will go to brown friday (today) as one of the 1000+ bills he will get before the end of this years session.

I don't think we need an EAD because it stated that people who aren't eligible to have SSN but proved that he/she is eligible for the deferred action are going to be eligible to apply for a DL and I'm sure that if we get our EAD the first place that we go to is the SSA building so the EAD -> DMV sequence won't make sense It'll be EAD -> SSA -> DMV (More straightforward).

Once you apply in the SSA building they'll give you your SSN number (not the card).

Jerry Brown will veto this just for lolz.
