My friend insists that I should go to her lawyer so age can help me with my Deffered action process she told me she already went to get get biometrics done and her lawyer told her to get the biometrics done and after she would send in her application. this sounds very odd to me and I will not be getting a lawyer as I do not feel that I have to. have any of you heard about getting biometrics before the application ..?

Explain to your friend that she should follow the process and not go into biometrics until USCIS asks her to.

Does she understand that getting the biometrics done before turning in her application is like handing herself in? Shes basically saying "here are my fingerprints and here is my picture. I am illegal."

She has no protection from immigration until she is approved by USCIS.

People who have been in trouble before or think that something in their past might keep them from qualifying for DACA might choose to do a background check by themselves before they start the process. Maybe that's what she's doing and she's embarrassed to admit it?

If that's not the case then you can only do ur due diligence to warn her and make sure you don't follow in her footsteps

Guys, she probably didn't go to an ASC to do biometrics. They would have turned her away. She's most likely getting her own personal police record, or livescan done.

OP like others have said, unless you do have a criminal record, a lawyer if probably unnecessary.
