Hello Dreamer Community!

Although I fulfill every requirement to take advantage of this program, I'm not really sure what to send with my applications in order to prove that I've been in the country for the past 5 years. Since I graduated from high school in 2006, My school transcripts do not serve as proof of my presence.

I thought about bank statements, but a statement per month, from 5 years ago, would be an awful (and costly) lot of paper to mail them, and i haven't got any utility bills or rent stubs with my name on them...

What proof do you suggest i send them? How much do they need to know? Do they want a proof per day i've stayed here? 2 proofs per month? 12 per year?... I'm very confused.

If one of you guys was kind enough to suggest to me specifically what to send, i'd be most thankful.

Thank you, and good luck to all!

Bank statements are good. I know its a lot of paper and ink but you are investing in your future.

I was in the same dilema. Send your bank statements or if you work send your taxes. Don't send anything with a fake social though. The taxes should have your Itin.

For statements send starting 2007 January and July of every year after that. The bank should provide them for free but hurry up because they take a week to arrive.

Print the copies at a kinkos or staples. Less thank $5 is not a lot. Don't do it at home, youll kill your ink

I only sent about 2 to 3 proofs per year to account for my presence the last 5 years. I did so following my parents' application format when they filed for their stuff (we got copies of the packages). The person who helped us out with the application sent in car payment statements from every 6 months with the amount owed obviously decreasing to prove continuous presence in the country. I've read and heard that everyone else is sending monthly stuff, but I figured if they want more proof I can gladly send it in. I included some medical bills, some letters from university professors, letter from a national agency with my certification info, and bank statements of about every 6 months. Good luck! P.S. I dunno how paranoid you are (no offense), so I dunno how comfortable you would be with doing what I did, I know a lot of people wanted to cover every detail possible.

Thank you guys, I'm not paranoid at all (lol at that) but i do want to make sure that i send out the right stuff.

@Whydontilook - Thanks for your reply. Do you think they would consider that enough proof? Wouldn't just one statement per year be a little inconclusive for them? In other words, did it work for you, or is it just a plausible guess?

You could talk to your bank and they could write you a letter saying how long you have been a client of them

I sent the first page of every months bank statement from 2010-present. I got my receipts last week so I think I'm fine. If they ask for it in the future I'll go ahead and send them the 7-8 pages per month :O

So did you find enough evidence? I heard You gotta send em a document for every 3 months, that would be 5 documents per year. one doc. for January, April, July, October and December. The documents must have, well if possible your full name, address and date.

Unfortunately, I think it depends on how picky your case worker is. The RFE's I've read about are almost all for not showing sufficient evidence of continuous presence in the past 5 years or for presence in the U.S. on June 15, 2012. So it's hard to say how much you NEED to send since it varies depending on which service center, case officer, etc. you get, but you should try to cover yourself (especially for June 15, 2012!).

I also graduated high school in 2006 so what I did (given that I have no work experience therefore have never paid taxes) was send the first page of each statement from 2007 to 2012 and if you have bank of america they send them to you for free, it only takes like 2-3 business days from when you request them that way you don't have to print them out yourself. Hope this helps!
