Hi guys, I was detained in eagle pass texas 0ctober of 2002 , they released my family and gave us a 30 day permission to get to our destiny (nyc), we got fingerprints taken and photos, they have each one of us an alien number of 9 digits, since 2005 my mother has bee to many immigration lawyers and they have searched for our case by using the alien number and case number, apparently our number is a ghost, they system does not reconize it and is no where to be found, what can I do? Please dont get into the whole spelling thing I know my grammar sucks you dont have to be mean, if you dont have nothing nice to say please keep it to yourself.

Get a lawyer to file your application and before sending it he or she might suggest an FBI background check.

Where were you coming from? How come the authorities gave you the chance to go on your way? More details! Find a good lawyer, we're missing a big part of the story, good luck!

I was coming from Honduras, the coyote said that immigration was going to be waiting for us at the other side of the rio bravo but he said everything was going to be fine, and indeed immigration was right there sitting in the car parked and they release us the next day, they did ask us questions etc I called uscis today concerned and the lady was very nice, she said she never heard of anything like that before, if you are in removal procedings they don't let you go, they deport you, please if anyone has a similar case let me know.

This is not recommended! To the OP,The general consensus is that those that came in to contact with any authority should get an immigration lawyer concerning the the details of your case when applying for DACA.

My lawyer was completely unfamiliar with the process. I had him pull my record from Phoenix immigration court. Having to pay $750 for someone who didn't even read the instructions for the process doesn't seem like a good deal. Either way I'll have to go into the lion's den, to give biometrics.

Also the whole "general consensus" stems from one simple fact. We don't know what to do in a case like that so we seek lawyers. They sometimes don't know either. Understandable as there is no precedent for an action like this.

Sounds like an order of supervision (basically someone's going to pay for your stay in US for the time being until a judge can hear the case). Got any documentation from the incident?

I would get an FBI background check because if they got your fingerprints, those are out somewhere, even if you alien number is a ghost, fingerprints are not so make sure to get one it will show everything

Each person has a different history as to why they have an Immigration Deportation order the OP should get an AILA lawyer for this process. We know this process has the possibility of closing someone's deportation order or administratively closing their removal proceedings but I believe both of those are only "Without prejudice" meaning the authorities can re-open proceedings again at any time and should have an experienced immigration attorney handling this proceeding just in case. This may be the start of a new process but we don't know how this will finish so it is good to have someone in the legal field take care of your individual case.

No record from 2002.
I would not be surprise from 1992 etc.

But 2002, with IDENT/Patriot Act etc. I find this nearly impossible.

I would suggest a competent lawyer to advise you.
