Hi,

I am looking to send my packet on thursday. I have some questions, hopefully you guys can help me out.

1) How did you organize your documents?, did you go through the list of accepted documents in order to demostrate all of the requirements and then staple them together with a cover sheet of what is being proved?

2) Did you use a manila folder?

3) If I am planning to use some evidence that proves 1 o 2 points (ex, came here before 16 and highschool graduation), do I make more copies ?

4) Did you guys use a Cover sheet and then an appendix?

5) I am freaking out please don't be mean.

1) I went through the list to see what they needed proof for, and then I pulled out any documents I had to prove that specific thing. I then organized the packet by Sections and then made a cover page explaining what each Section is for and what is in that section

2) No manila folder, just ACCO clips and 2 rubberbands around all the paperwork

3) I did not make additional copies, I just indicated on my cover page which Section has the paperwork needed for proof if by chance that specific document is used for proving multiple things

4) Yes I used a cover sheet and table of content layout

5) No worries =)

i went through every requirement and used that as my 'sections'. Eg, section 1 was proving my identity, section 2 was proof of presence before age 16, section 3 was proof of unlawful status as of june 15th, etc etc. the last 'section' i had was proof of continuous residence since 2007, and i categorized that by year (this wasn't necessary, as i've been in school continuously since 2007 and the school records that i sent show that, but i couldn't provide official college transcripts).

i made additional copies if needed. for proof of presence before age 16, i used my expired i-94. i also used my expired i-94 as proof of unlawful status as of 6/15, so i made and sent 2 copies of my i-94. i don't really think it matters, i just thought it worked better based on how i organized everything. and i didn't want them to have to flip through pages again to find something.

my cover sheet was really simple. everything was in bullet points, and i kept it as short and simple as i possibly could so it's easy to understand. no appendix used.

hope everything goes smoothly for you!

1)What I did was I had my evidence separated into 2 sections. Each one I had a table-of-content-like page that said the following are proof of (1st section was: identity, being here before i was 16, my immigration status. 2nd was: student status, present in the US on 6/15/07, present on 6/15/12). and then i listed what they were (1st section: birtch certificate, visa, etc. 2nd section: report cards, diplomas, bills, orders, etc.). That way i won't have too much copies because some, for example the copy of the passport has my b-day, status and the date of entry. I binder clipped the 2 sections separately and then had a big binder clip that combines them.

2)Yeah I used a manila folder.

3) Refer to my answer for #1

4) Nope

5) Don't worry about it, send it soon though. I know the proofs are important, but make sure to have somebody double check your actual applications. I had 3 different people read over my forms

In my particular case It was:
1. Get all supporting evidence
2. Divided the evidence into THREE separate package with 3 COVER SHEET entitled:

I."Indentity" (birth certificate, Id's)

II."Came to U.S before 16th birthday". (i-94, immunization records, school transcripts)
"Were unlawful status as of June 15th, 2012". (i-94)
"Graduated from U.S High School". (High School Transcript)

III. "Were present in U.S on June 15th, 2012. (bank statement)
"Continuously resided June 15th, 2007 through June 15, 2012 and Present… (school transcripts, financial statements)

3. Used binder clips for each package. Clipped the two money orders, and 2 passport photos on the i-765. including all signed application forms of course.
4. Put it inside a clasp envelope, with name DOB, on it. and MAIL!

But then again. Every person wont have the same supporting evidence.. so whatever you have, just as long as it covers all the requirements.
