I second this, it would be a great help.

I onlyrecnetly joined to inform people on my case update. I've been a lurker for years. I thought about signing up on the 27th, after I had gone in for my walk-in, but decided against it, since I had seen a post later that day where another person had gone in for a walk-in. In this case, however, I wanted to be the first one with bragging rights. I am Alpha and you are all beta. haha

Thanks man! I'm no troll, I keep trying to be helpful. I've been answering every message, and trust me, I've gotten a lot. I've even message people with questions, just so I answer them more privately. I don't feel very appreciated. In any case, within the next few days you guys will see your cases updated. Then you will know I am not lying. Then you you will all know who is Alpha.

Please see the emboldened statement above where the OP clearly stated that he/she wants bragging rights.

Another guy from North Carolina posted on the Dream Act's Facebook page that he had completed his biometrics 2 weeks ago and had his I-765 approved already. Since it's almost been 2 weeks since you did your biometrics, I'm going to stalk the hell out of you on this forum to see if you get something in the next few days and confirm this all to be true.

Pretty much yes, it's a waste of time because our moral views differ when it comes to trivial matters. If walking in is allowed, I'll go in and if it isn't, then I'll just wait like everyone else and nothing of value will be lost with the exception of time. You see, this is not a competition, but if I can put myself in a position where I can ensure that I will have a guaranteed access to resources that might become limited or which delivery might be delayed then I'd do whatever is necessary to secure the opportunity. At the end of the day there's absolutely no contribution that YOU could possibly make towards my plight, I am paying for this benefit out of my pocket, and the requirements were met by me.

It seems that in our cases, the I-766, which is the actual physical work permit card, is required.
Yes,the work permit is required. When you go to SSA for the first time they will swipe your card through a computer to check the DHS database on if you are legally authorized to work. They will then give you a timeline on when to expect your new SSN.It is kinda ironic I remember seeing a lot of young homeless applying for benefits.
