“If somebody submits documents that show by the preponderance of the evidence that they meet the guidelines, we are poised to move the cases as quickly as possible,” Mr. Mayorkas said.

Preponderance - 1.*the fact or quality of being preponderant; superiority in weight, power, numbers, etc.: The preponderance of votes is against the proposal.

In other words, the more you submit to prove that you qualify beyond a doubt, the quicker your case will move.

For those of you who haven't gotten your biometrics apt yet, how much evidence did you provide?

preponderance of the evidence
Would also mean the quality of the evidence. Don't think if you send a bunch of Facebook statuses those together would amount to little weight.

When ever you deal with evidence and USCIS, my worry is always Quality vs. Quantity.
If you read the Adjudicators Field Manual you get a huge insight into the mind of USCIS.

They value evidence they could glance at it and say >50% it's real and it can be verified.

okay, this is just for fun

what if mit wins? MIT WILL NOT WIN! it's just for fun

now suppose he wins, then he closes the program. then he sees how low the number is and secretly grants citizenship to those who applied and got approved.

okay that was just a dream

It's politically not viable to close this program with out a CIR alternative. If mitt was to mot let us rectify he would not win his second term. Now if he introduces a CIR that only notapro and DA user qualify for we're all ......

That's not terribly surprising... I didn't even send my thing until 3 weeks after the announcement. Not so much out of doubt but laziness lol And I know someone who's waiting to see if Romney wins, which I think is kind of silly. If he wins you're screwed either way.

I don't know anyone in "real life" who has applied other than myself. My friends know a bunch of people who can benefit from it and they keep on telling that not one of them is doing a thing. I think a lot of people are misinformed as to if they qualify or not and what they are supposed to do. My coworker told me her neighbor told her he thought all he had to do was fill out the application, send it and he would get his work permit it 2 weeks. I don't know what he is on, apperently he knew nothing of the fees plus the evidence.

There is safety in numbers. Anything less than 500,000 will not be good. Republicans will point to it and say we're law breakers who didn't even want to come forward when given a chance.

This might be a good time to allow 31+ to apply

I waited this long because of uncertainty of my evidence as well as lack of time. Been so busy lately, finally sent it in though. Feels good.
I also agree that misinformation is playing a huge role.
I have only seen DACA mentioned once on my facebook feed.
I imagine these are the kinds of people who seek lawyer's help and, thus, have to save up more money for applying.

Alot of people don't have the money or wait for evidence, wait for the appointments for attorneys or orgs that help fill out the apps. I know from experience going thru all that i noticed some did not have appointments til late sept or oct+, same with passport as people were getting it renewed. this was around aug 6-16th, i did not sent my packet in til 17th cause i had missing bank statements and did not arrive until 16th, on 17th i went to an org to check my form and a birth certificate translation, then i sent it in. Otherwise i would've sent it in earlier but besides that, the one thing is fear, specially cause of elections or fear of deportaion
