$465 for application, $25 for birth certificate translation, $18 for express mail, $8 for high school record, $25 to change the address on my consulate which I didn't even use -_- womp but I didn't send 2passport pics so minus the cost of that, overall a small price to pay for a better way of life!! As for a lawyer ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, ugh they piss me off, all they do is take advantage of people

$465 for application, $108 for passport, $10 for passport pictures to send with app, $30 for school transcripts, $15 for that 2 hole puncher thing, $8 for those clips that came in case of 100 and I only needed one, $50 for the black ink and paper for evidence, $3o for express mail, $30 for birth certificate translation...and hours of hard work putting it together. Plus now I'll miss work tomorrow for the biometrics appointment. Totally worth it and I feel awesome at the fact that I did it myself and the only help I got was from this forum. Forever grateful for everyone that contributes here.

around 1600 (including misc fees)

I really am impressed by people who filled them out by themselves. I could not get through the first sentence without falling asleep. Also my case is a little tricky needed some legal advice

Do we need to use a copy of a valid passport?
Is that why you took the passport photos?
Can you use a expired passport?

I paid $765.00 in total, I had leftover photos from my passport. The lawyer made the copies and translated my birth certificate as well. This other lawyer wanted $1700 plus the $465, hahaha yea right

U can send in a copy of an expired passport as well as long as it shows ur entry stamp 5 years prior to June 15, 2012.
And I took the passport style pix because the EAD application form required u to send in two 2x2 passport style pix (don't forget to write your name and A# in the back- is u have one )
