I'm hoping that once AZ approvals hit, someone will challenge the ridiculousness of it all. I mean, imagine getting pulled over, giving the cop an id, a social, telling him you're legally allowed to be here (you have legal presence) but you can't get any sort of state ID because the governor doesn't want you to.

I imagine the first no-DL ticket handed out by a cop in this situation will result in someone fighting it and the courts putting pressure on Brewer to stop being so hard-headed.

How does it make any sense to drive away people that have been screened by the national government as non-risks?

Wha ha?

So isn't the Governor's "executive order" now contradicting state law then? -_-

Sigh Mexico, why didn't you defend your territory better. I know the USA took advantage but hell they should of put a better fight. Now immigrants are struggling because of some trash people that run the state.

I hope the dmv investigation of brewer's executive order ends before I get my ssn. So I can know for sure if I need to get my drivers license in a different state.

Ha it seems like just as we are sort of getting out of one limbo we are just thrown back into another one. We will just have to see how things play out

Ideally, yes I agree with you. Especially with how anti-immigrant this state has become. For most of us though, either it is money, family ties or some other commitments that are keeping us here for moment. Perhaps once we have a better footing, some of us will be in the position to take our talent to where it is appreciated.

That has been the silver lining for most dreamers in AZ at this point. I'm sure Brewer and Co. will try to change this so hopefully MCC will stand true to its position.

Just shows how some of our so called "leaders" are not competent at governing. One day she is saying one thing and the next there is evidence demonstrating the opposite...

I'm with you on this one. Like I said, some of us are already in the pipeline to receive EADs. If it stand, I suspect most will have to resort to plan B (aka another state license).

Brewer probably doesnt pay attention to education in Arizona...you know...given that she only has a high school diploma.
