Got Your EAD- Now What?

Theres some people that have gotten their EAD, DACA process approved. I just wanted to make a thread discussing what to do after.

Do:
1. Get your SSN
2. Get your Drivers Licence
3. Men, update your Selective Service Registration with your new SSN (personal option)
4. For those with ITIN, cancel your ITIN and update IRS with your new SSN (personal option)
5. Get a job
6. Report your taxes
7. Keep evidence of your continuous stay for your DACA renewal in 2 years
8. Keep copies of all your documents

Don't:
1. Risk your DACA renewal by commiting misdemeanors
2. Drink and Drive
3. Do anything stupid

To apply for SSN visit your local SSA office. Here's a flyer the office has provided with information for those with approved DACA:

To apply for you drivers license check if you meet the requirements to receive one.

lol he was doing it out of the interest of the community. hey OP there is a thread about SSN start one about DMV.

searched SSN doesn't work. so i manually went page by page. this was kinda rude.

Thanks, I am doing this to help everyone else. I searched and there isn't one spot discussing all of this, and this isnt just about your SSN and DMV. Please see my update of my post to make it more clear.

Really? We have to cancel the ITIN? What if we cant reapply in two years? And how would we go about doing that? And finally, is it recommended, optional, or required that we do that?

SSN will be yours forever and ever and ever. There is no need for an iTIN, now my hope is that I am able transfer the benefits I've paid thru the years of working to my new SSN.

Does anyone know how long it takes from time of application until you get your SS card in the mail?
