I don't remember them asking country of residence in the biometric appointment. I do remember the form asking for country of birth and country of citizenship.
I don't think they ask for country of residency because i put MEXICO for both options, and i know for a fact it did not state country of RESIDENCE. By the way, i got my biometrics done yesterday so i know.

You probably got confused.

WOW i too did make a mistake but on my 1821D application. I wrote the same country on both country of birth and residence. I called them and told them everything. They will notify the USCIS office and gave me a referral number. i feel stupid! this will prolong the process...
