After seeing the GMU user then it is possible. I just don't want to live in VA anymore so I'd rather move to MD.

I definitely think it's worth a try. For me, it was a pain in the ass just to register in a CC! when you tell them your status they look at you like you are out of this world, specially the immigrants, not actually all the immigrants.

Just do what you have to do, at least there are more options. Good luck.

I think in VA its up to the school to determine who gets instate tuition. Like I said earlier JMU asked for an EAD whereas GMU and ODU gave me no trouble at all. Virginia Tech doesn't even let you apply for admissions without being a citizen or permanent resident.

There's always the possibility that I may have had some special factors I was unaware of. Or maybe i got the reviewer on a good day lol.

I was technically still "illegal" when i transferred to GMU, they never checked my status and I was granted In-state tuition without questions. On the other hand, NVCC gave me a bunch of BS to grant me in-state tuition, the lady in charge only did it because my mom literally cried while pleading my case for in-state tuition.

P.S. I expected more VA Dreamers here, I only hope it is not due to a lack of information and help. We could learn so much from what MD is doing with their pro-immigration organizations, we need it here in NOVA.

Actually you can apply to Virginia Tech and get accepted like i did. They just make you pay out of state tuition. Guys why is Vermont taking forever?? I've only seen 2 approvals from this site.

HEY! I'm in Virginia too! Sounds like some of you guys are in the NOVA area? I attend the Annandale campus of NVCC. Would be nice to see you guys sometime. I'm scheduled for biometrics on 10/2 -.- so late, you guys are lucky to have done things so quick.

I recall someone stating that they would like to go to UVA. That is my preferred school too but the last time I talked to one of the counselors that visited NVCC told me I could be admitted but would not be able to enroll since all "international" applicants need to show their visa stamps or w.e. Just wondering if we could actually enroll with #SSN's?

Oh the irony. I was so angry this past 24 hrs because of something that i'd rather not mention.

I just did a quick check a few mins ago and apparently I got accepted yesterday. Good luck to everyone here.

Yes and it seems like they don't care whether you have an appt. or not.

I suggest you to go before they open. Good luck
