When can I start using my new social? That new social smell lol

I'm waiting for approval, may not happen I have a misdemeanor dont think its serious, but I applied, Did my biometrics on monday. The wait is unbearable I check the my case status like 50 times a day. and this web site like 100 times a day, more and more every hour. Its affection work and personal relationships but I don't care I'm addicted in I love it. I keep asking myself why why can't I be one of the fast ones? hell at this point I just want to be improve I would wait a year long as they approve me. But I do have a serious question, a year ago my cousin was able to get temporary residency through his wife and got a new Social Security card, but when he tried to use it to get a cell phone or get a credit card right away he ran into trouble, I guess his Social Security number was so new that they were having trouble trying to verify it. I was just wondering if anybody know how long will it be before I can go get a new iPhone 5 under my name, can't wait for that I've had every single iPhone but its been under my uncles name, now it's time to be under my name. If it wasn't for this great opportunity Daca provided I swear I would be at back macrumors.com waiting on my new iPhone but now I didn't preorder it's just not important right now.

I tried cant find squat, im not asking about how long to get a social but how long afterwards i get can i use it. If anything NotAPro you will probably be the one walking as through it like you did with the application process. Once the number is assigned, you can use it right away, even before the Card arrives in the mail(If you know your application was successfully processed, you can walk in to SSA and get a printout)

You can use it right away, but you need to start building your credit slowly. There are forums like this one just for credit building. Back when I applied for asylum and got my social, I started working on my credit and after 2 years it was so good that I could get a used bmw with no down payment and 0.9% apr. My score went up to around 780, and I had several cards with more than 10k in available credit. Then my asylum got denied, i lost my job, and now my credit is 3 pages of delinquencies and collections

Start slowly but be very responsible, it is not free money, dont think just about monthly payments, cause that is how people get in debt. I was very responsible until the day I lost my job, after a few months I cound not pay my bills and I just had to give up my perfect credit ...bimmer was repoed too :'(

Anyways, do some research on good start up credit cards, aim to have 3 credit cards within 18 months, and keep balances below 40% of available limit, and that is a max! If you can keep it below 10%, even better. Paying annual fees is a NO NO!!!

then when you get your number, call the bank so they can update your records, getting the first card is always the hardest part lol, that would be a huge step forward
