Plates on my bike are expiring this month so I need to register the vehicle under my name and get the tags to be able to get around. Would suck if I got it taken away only a few days before I could LEGALLY register the vehicle lol

It's not idea, but even a company that does E-Verify shouldn't then have an issue hiring you as a subcontractor given that they wouldn't be paying us with our expired SSN but paying a legal US corporation that pays its own taxes and what not. Paying yourself from the company is where the "wrong" step would then be so it kind of clears them as far as I understand. Not sure where that leaves us with the SSA though, since we would still need to file our own taxes but it seems like it would be just as legal/ilegal as using an ITIN right now.
