Martinez is the #3 Pound 4 Pound fighter in the world and has taken down some great fighters throughout his career while Chavez has never fought anyone worthy of a title, so this was a losing battle for Chavez to begin with.

Chavez is a pure slugger and has very little fundamentals when it comes to things like using the jab or keeping his guard up, but as he proved when he wasn't fighting scared against Martinez, he can knock the **** outta the opponent!

If there's a rematch between the two, I expect a different outcome now that Chavez knows what he's going up against.
It would be a hell of a fight Martinez vs. Mayweather....
I agree with you that Chavez didnt have the experiencce to beat Martinez, but I think if a rematch happens Martinez beats him again and much easier... Why? Martinez knows that he can't stand there and trade with Jr. , he got caught in the 12th round cuz he got a little bit too cocky and forgot to move or hold, things that he knows how to do, and also if Chavez decides to open up more and fire more shots at Martinez that just means that he'll open his defence a lot more and that's when Martinez's left hand will find the target and possibly KO him... Martinez is a smart guy and won't do the same mistake twice, can't say that about Chavez Jr.

I also have Martinez at #3 P4P... #1- Mayweather, #2-Andre Ward, #3-Martinez, #4-Pacquiao, and #5- Marquez

Disagree with you bro... Mayweather is not too defensive, he's by far the best defensive boxer at the moment and a hell of a counterpuncher, Pacquiao is a beast but he's doesnt do great against counterpunchers, as a matter of fact I think JM Marquez is finally gonna beat him, I see Money May getting the decision win or even a late stoppage IF he ever fights Pacquiao.... Don't get me wrong tho, I think Pacquiao is one of the best boxers of this generation, it's just that his style doesn't match up well with counterpunchers.

Yeah, Cotto was taking Mayweather to school throughout the match like I've never seen anyone else do before. He made him look average.

About the future Pacquiao fight, I'm a Mayweather fan so you won't hear me say that Pacquiao can beat him, but it would be an interesting match up because Pacman is the better the better all around fighter while Mayweather's elite defense and counter-attack would give Pacman some major problems.
