How about yourself?
Well. I'm gonna give them a call early next week to see what is the status. I wanna give them some time. Hopefully , they can give me an update or maybe even the number.

I went to the SSO today in Ontario, California I was asked about 3 or 4 questions after the questions, the lady that helped me told me that it takes 4 weeks to verify the EAD card, at that point I told here that I thought it took 10 days thats when she gave me a weird look like what is he talking about, should I panic? I was also about to sign my application but she told me not to sign it that it was not necessary should I also panic on that?

Mmmmm. It sounds strange that she told you not to sign. Did you get a receipt indicating you had applied for a social. ?

The process for me was really quick. I arrived 5 minutes before the SS office closed and they took me in. The guy was really nice and asked me very few questions. Like, how long i've been here and if this was my first time applying for a card. I gave him my Passport and EAD and that was it. He told me to call in a couple weeks to see if there was an update on the SSN. Now the waiting begins. One funny thing he told me was now that i'm going to work I should avoid working at any SSO office. He said it was the worst place to work, in fact, he said it was pure hell. I should avoid it at all costs. I nervously laughed and went on my way. But besides that, the whole process was quick and easy.
hi, what documents needed to show at dmv since u dont have the ss card?

If you haven't gone to the SSA yet, here's a good tip: wait 11 days from the "Valid From:" date on your EAD and then go to the office. It takes 10 days for your info to be added to the database. If you go before that, they will take your application and you will have to wait up to 4 weeks to get your card. If you go after 10 days have passed, it will not take 4 weeks.

This is verified information from an SSA employee. It applies to all applicants.
